Three Kanagawa Prefectural Parks to See Cherry Blossoms! 

Now, it’s time for cherry blossoms (or sakura) in Kanagawa. We recommend three prefectural parks for “Hanami,”—meaning cherry blossom viewing—to you. Let’s enjoy hanami with friends and family!  

Mitsuike Park, Tsurumi-ku, Yokohama City 
Ranked among Japan’s top 100 sakura spots, Mitsuike Park is filled with a wide spectrum of sakura colors, ranging from deep pink to white. Seventy-eight varieties of sakura are planted in the park, totaling about 1,600 trees. You can enjoy both early-blooming and late-blooming ones in April.

Sagami Sansen Park, Ebina City
Enjoy hanami, strolling around the promenade and sakura path along the stream flowing through the Sagami Sansen Park. You may be interested in playing in the water, too. For children, it would be fun to play on a multifunctional playground structure in the park.

Lake Tsukui-Shiroyama Park, Midori-ku, Sagamihara City
Lake Tsukui-Shiroyama Park consists of the Shiroyama area, a former mountain castle site from the Warring State period, and two sides on Shiroyama Dam, called “Water Garden” and “Flower Garden.” Both are known as sakura viewing spots. Besides sakura, a lot of colorful flowers bloom in “Flower Garden” in April.

桜で有名な県立公園をご紹介します！

今月は桜が有名な神奈川の県立公園を３か所ご紹介します。是非、ご家族やと友達でお花見を楽しんでください！
三ツ池公園（横浜市鶴見区）　　
日本の「さくら名所100選」の１つである県立三ツ池公園は、この時期、公園全体が桜色に染まります。78品種、およそ1600本の桜が植えられ、早咲きから遅咲きまでさまざまな桜を長い間、楽しむ事ができます。

相模三川公園（海老名市）　
相模三川公園では、公園内を流れる鳩川沿いの桜並木や遊歩道の散策、川遊びもでき、お子様の年齢に応じていろいろ楽しめるコンビネーション遊具もお勧めです。

津久井湖城山公園（相模原市緑区）　
県立津久井湖城山公園は、戦国時代の山城「津久井城」跡である城山と、城山ダム両岸一帯に広がり、ダム両側の「水の苑地」と「花の苑地」は桜の名所で知られています。「花の苑地」では桜の他にも色とりどりの花が咲きます。
